It goes through a day in the life of our dynamic duo. The idea of this project was firmly based on the world I lived in during my early years. I sketched these images based on what occurred daily, which reminded me of my childhood. I wore bell-bottom jeans that were my mother’s in the 90s, and it reminded me of how much she has influenced my everyday life choices, even my sense of style. The day I sketched the Nesquik bottle, I caught a glimpse of one at the local bodega by my dorm, instantly bringing me back. I could curate my materials during class and was walking through my old neighborhood in the process. Scavenging for these items within my old hood set the tone when creating this final project. 30s laid the groundwork for Hip-Hop culture through shared expressions of Black joy and liberation. I trace this connection through the spiritual energy of the Black Baptist church, community gatherings like rent parties, and dance forms such as the Lindy Hop. I also redesigned the company website and digital presence to better reflect that same tone across our platforms.
